# The Art of Pausing

> The Art of Pausing is a creative alternative to meditation and journalling, made by Power in the Pause Ltd, part of the Power in the Pause® product family. It is a companion iOS app that uses creative practices instead of stillness or writing to help people create space from their thoughts. This site (theartofpausing.app) is the pre-launch marketing and waitlist site for the app.

## What it is

The Art of Pausing moves a person's attention from their thoughts onto the page through short creative practices, rather than asking them to sit still (as in meditation) or find the right words (as in journalling). The stated aim is not to produce good art, but to create space, awareness and change.

## Who it is for

People who find meditation too quiet or journalling too wordy, and want a creative, low-pressure way to process how they feel in a few minutes.

- 12 emotional pathways: starting points for grounded, hopeful, anxious, stuck, and other emotional states.
- The Pause Portal: a guided creative practice that moves attention from thoughts onto the page.
- The Activation Deck: forty-four cards, each offering a moment of reflection matched to how the user feels.
- Your Journey: a private record of a user's emotional landscape, sessions and drawings over time.
- The Field: an anonymous public gallery of drawings from other users, with no likes and no comments.

## Pricing

The Art of Pausing is offered as a subscription with a 7-day free trial, cancellable at any time through the user's Apple ID:

- Monthly: GBP 9.99 per month
- Annual: GBP 72 per year (equivalent to GBP 6.00 per month)

The Art of Pausing launches on iPhone on 3 August 2026; an Android version is planned for the future.
